Chicago scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. The big moment was provided by Ken Griffey Jr who made the Chicago fans a happy lot when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 4th of the season). Enterprise threatened in the 9th but Chicago was able to put down the rally. The winning pitcher was Jose Mesa(2-2) who allowed 1 run in 3 innings. Mesa was helped out by Brad Lidge who recorded his 8th save. The losing pitcher was Rodrigo Lopez(5-2). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
